Turfco Couch

Couches will perform well in most locations; will take on a lush appearance throughout the summer months, but will require high maintenance when compared to other varieties.

There are several varieties of Couch grass, and Turfco recommends the following varieties as being most suitable for southern NSW & Sydney:

Tiff Sport Couch

Tiff Sport is a relatively new sports turf couch variety and is now one of the most highly specified for sports turf applications. It was developed especially for sports fields, meaning it is not only a great playing surface, but also a low maintenance grass. Tiff sport features low requirements with water and is environmentally friendly. 

Wintergreen Couch

Wintergreen is a hybrid green couch developed in Australia, it has high colour retention throughout the cold winter months and a fine, dense foliage. When used in the right situations, it can make for a wonderful lawn. It is suitable for both commercial and residential applications. it tolerates an extensive range of soils and cimatic conditions, making it suitable for many different regions.

If you want stunning couch lawn here are a few things to keep in mind;

• Requires mowing every 8-14 days

• Requires 8-10 hours of direct sunlight each day

• Requires fertiliser to stay at its best
