A Soft leaf Buffalo grass, Sir Walter Turf is an Australian native able to cope with all climates in mainland residential areas. It works on the coast, inland frost areas, the desert and the tropics. Sir Walter has quickly become one of the country's most sought after lawn grasses, namely due to its excellent suitability to our coastal environment. |
 |
Kikuyu grass is a warm season grass variety, popular for many years for both domestic and commercial use. Originally introduced as a pasture grass to Australia from Africa in the 1920's, Kikuyu quickly became a suitable lawn variety for east coast Australia and NSW.

Tall Fescue is a cool season grass best suited to the cooler climates of the Southern Highlands and Canberra. It is not considered as suitable for Sydney or coastal conditions due to problems experienced with high humidity. It is frost resistant and will stay green in the coolest winters; however, if not irrigated or well maintained usually browns off in the heat of summer. |

The trend in modern turf surfaces is for a type of improved Couch variety to be used. There are many of these couches on the market and in our opinion there are three leading varieties that stand out for their unique features and benefits; Tiff Sport, Wintergreen and Plateau. |
